Caption: Nikolas Volkov was a Russian Soldier during WWII who was seriously injured by friendly fire and left to die in the snow. Alone and barely clinging to life, his final, desperate wish was that someone, anyone would save him from death. He never imagined that his savior would com in the guise of a wandering vampire who granted his wish not to die by making him one of her kind. Unable to return to his family, unable to remain in the country he loved, he too began to wander...alone and trying to find a place he could live in peace. He came to realize that the cold, lonely life to which he was now doomed was much worse than death and maybe it would have been better if he had just died that day on a snowy battlefield in Russia.
